Grace Yung Ting Teng

U.S.A.

Grace Yung Ting Teng was born in Dallas, Texas, in 1979 and is of Chinese decent. She received her BA in Fine Art from Cornell University, and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, in Providence, RI. In her current work, Grace explores "frontier" icons from Western culture and decorative motifs from the so-called Orient. By engaging cliche's associated with both the West and the East, she addresses stereotypes of each that camouflage as well as reveal ideas of personal and cultural identity. Grace has exhibited throughout the U.S., and her works are held in several private collections.
