Reem Al Ghaith
Reem Al Ghaith was born in Dubai, U.A.E. in 1985, where she has pursued her arts education and career. Her graphic work was selected in the Memefest.org competition in Slovenia in 2004, in addition to her printmaking work that was exhibited in the Lessedra World Art Print Annual in 2006 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Most recently she was selected to participate in Vibrations Within in 2008, an exhibition of Emirati artists organized by Tashkeel, a non-profit artists organization and gallery established by Sheikha Lateefa Al Maktoum. In 2008, her photography series, Held Back, was featured in Dubai Next: Face of the 21st Century, an exhibition curated by Rem Koolhas and Jack Persekian as part of Art Basel. Held Back was also featured in the February 2009 issue of ARTnews magazine's cover story, 'The Boom in the Emirates.'
